The pub always features 4 hand pulled ales. As an accredited CAMRA LocAle pub, 'The Jollys' always offers a beer from local breweries - cutting down beer miles and supporting local breweries within a 25 mile radius of Leavening.
The Jolly Farmers is very much a community 'hub', with a host of events at the pub - these include charity events such as quizzes and auctions; the Leavening Community Cinema - a non-profit making group who show a film once a month - usually on the first Tuesday of the month; as well as Live Music and entertainment.
Food is served Wednesday to Friday evenings and then on both lunchtime and evening on Saturday and Sunday. The pub is open for drinks on Monday and Tuesday. At the Jolly Farmers you can be assured of a warm welcome in our traditional bar. We always serve at least four hand pulled, real ales. Our two "house ales" are Timothy Taylors Landlord and Guzzler from York brewery. Two other taps serve regularly changing guest ales, often from local brewers, check out what’s in the cellar.
We also have carefully selected wine list from York wines and a full range of spirits and soft drinks.
Food is an important part of the Jolly Farmers. All meals are home made from our famous steak pies to the ice cream. Nearly all our ingredients are sourced from local farms and producers. Sunday lunch is becoming increasingly popular with at least two roasts served plus a full menu including a snacks and specials board. With main courses starting from just £8.50 great value for money is assured!
The Jolly Farmers is in the heart of Leavening village, situated on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Wolds. Just a few minutes from the market town of Malton, 15 miles north east of York and only a short drive to the coast.
